Happy #matchamonday 🍵! ⁣ Afternoon Matcha lat Happy #matchamonday 🍵! ⁣
Afternoon Matcha latte anyone? I just tried Matchabar‘s (@hustle) ceremonial grade Matcha reserve blend and I was very happy with it (#gifted). ⁣
⁣
💚 Super vibrant green, smooth and power umami flavor and sweetness. They source from family farms in Kagoshima.⁣
⁣
Matchbar was the 1st Matcha bar in the USA and got a lot of people into it. They’ve built their brand in a super fun and approachable way but they’re committed to respecting the Japanese tradition of quality and care.⁣
⁣
Do you prefer a Matcha latte in the morning or afternoon? I usually do mornings and prefer straight Matcha after lunch 😉⁣

Lemon Verbena 💛 Such a soothing herbal tea!⁣ Lemon Verbena 💛 Such a soothing herbal tea!⁣
⁣
I like to drink it mid-afternoon because it is soothing yet energizing. It is very lemony and it’s very smooth and light. You probably know lemon verbena’s scent from soaps, perfumes, etc. ⁣
⁣
It is a cooling herb and has some properties like fever reducing, digestive tonic, anti-inflammatory and nervous system tonic.⁣
⁣
#gifted by @erda.tea - BEAUTIFUL packaging, organically grown in Napa Valley. They grow several herbs and flowers. Definitely recommend!

I love love love white teas, they were one of my first tea loves. My favorites are Bai Hao Yin Zhen (Silver Needle) and Moonlight White. I love Silver Needle’s lightness and freshness while I also love Moonlight White’s body, flavor and smoothness (great for colder months too).⁣
⁣
They can contain quite a bit of caffeine, especially Bai Hao Yin Zhen, so don’t be fooled by their lightness... (if you’re interested about this topic, I have a blog post that covers caffeine in White tea)⁣
⁣
✨I know I’ve asked this before but I will do it again, what’s your favorite White tea?
Has anybody else had CRAZY amounts of snow lately? Has anybody else had CRAZY amounts of snow lately? I’ve had enough really... ⁣
⁣
I’m seriously craving these hojicha and black tea shortbread cookies (for recipe, click the link in bio 😉), a huge mug of tea and cozy up in bed with a chunky blanket. Is it too much to ask? 😜⁣
⁣
What do you crave in snow days? What types of tea? And what about food?
💫In case you missed my double Earl Grey Linzer 💫In case you missed my double Earl Grey Linzer cookies, here they are!⁣
⁣
❓Why double Earl Grey? Because they have tea leaves in the batter and are filled with a low-calorie homemade Earl Grey tea jelly.⁣
⁣
⭐️Super easy to make and so delicious! ⁣
⁣

⁣
I’ve been drinking ‘Golden Milk’ for years now and especially turn to it in the winter and during those times I’m not feeling well.⁣
⁣
It is an ancient Ayurvedic remedy and it’s loved and widely used due to its medicinal properties. Within its list of healing properties we can highlight that it is antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and aids digestion, between many more. ⁣
⁣
Remember that in order to enhance its absorption, it must be consumed with pepper.⁣
⁣
I totally get that many people don’t like its taste, it might feel bitter or brothy, but in my opinion, the health benefits outweight its taste. Are you a fan of turmeric?

How many different varieties of black tea do you know or have you tried? Flavor profiles vary by region, climate, altitude, cultivation, processing methods, harvesting times etc. (but brewing methods can also affect a tea’s flavor and experience).⁣
⁣
On this blog post, I explore several tea producing countries and regions and talk about the different flavor profiles that we can find in each.⁣
⁣
➡️ Swipe to the end of this post and take the trivia to match the producing country to the tea (answers in comments). How many did you get right?
Adaptogenic Protein Matcha Overnight Oats 🤯 (th Adaptogenic Protein Matcha Overnight Oats 🤯 (this was my breakfast on this #matchamonday) .⁣
⁣
I’ve been eyeing this plant-based protein powder for a while because I love @foursigmatic products and this one has so many benefits! It has 5 mushroom extracts + 2 adaptogens (including Ashwagandha, which I loooove!), it has no fillers, it’s organic and unflavored. If you use protein powders, I can’t recommend this one enough.⁣
⁣
Now, back to my delicious breakfast... I added a scoop of protein powder to my Matcha overnight oats making it a healthy powerhouse 💪🏼🍵💚and oh my it tasted good!⁣

Do you enjoy brewing tea in a gaiwan, mug, teacup, pot? ⁣
⁣
I was mostly doing ‘western brewing’ and couldn’t find enough time to have many gong fu sessions. It always felt like too much of a time commitment... but since lockdown last March I started doing it every day.⁣
⁣
I end up drinking so much more tea! I fill a thermos with hot water and run through it in no time by steeping and re steeping tea using a gaiwan.⁣ So the answer to my question for me today, is by far my gaiwan!⁣

Has your brewing style changed through this past year?

BREWING TIP:

One of my favorite ways to brew loose leaf tea is with this Simple Brew infuser teapot. It lets the leaves ‘dance’ and unfurl with all the space they need.
