I’ve purchased several subscription boxes in the past of different types of products. They make a great gift and I love getting them in the mail as a present to myself because they’re always a surprise. Whoever invented this system was a genius! I’ve been a subscriber of many tea boxes in the past, so I wanted to share this best tea subscription box guide with some of my favorite ones.

If you’re looking to subscribe or looking to buy as a gift, I’m sure you’ll have a better idea of what you’ll want to get by the end of this post. Here is a list of what I consider the best tea subscription boxes listed in no particular order and some promo codes to give you a little treat and encourage you to try them!

DISCLAIMER: I’ve purchased most of the boxes below and gotten some as gifts. My reviews are based on my honest opinion and are meant for informative purposes. Please note there are some affiliate links, meaning I will get a small commission if you click through and make a purchase, without any extra cost to you. This will help support my blog and create new content!

1.- SIPS BY

Sipsby Tea Subscription box contents

This is a true tea discovery box. This company has partnered with many tea companies, big and small to provide tea lovers with a service that has a huge variety of teas and brands. Each month you’ll receive a box with 4 different types of tea from different brands, good for over 15 cups.
The uniqueness of Sips By is that you take a flavor profile and tea preferences quiz and their algorithm will select monthly teas for you. Each month you will receive a custom box with your name and tea selection. You can make requests such as not to have any tea bags, no green tea or any tea containing licorice, etc. and you can re-take the quiz as many times as you want. If your box contains loose leaf tea, you also get tea filter bags. The subscription gives you access to discount codes for most of the brand partners when making a purchase on each of their websites.

Who is it for? It’s for people who know exactly what they like and can narrow down their preferences, for people who know nothing about tea and would like to discover by trying a full variety of tea types, herbal teas, blends, etc. and for all the tea loving people in between.

Personal Note: I love this model because my tea mood varies between seasons, etc. and I can retake the preferences quiz every month if I want to and the teas in the box will adjust to my preferences. It is so versatile and the fact that you get different brands in the box makes it one of a kind since most tea subscriptions are from a single brand.

Monthly Price: $15 (shipping included in the US)

Promo Code: CACHAISIPS will get you $5 off your first box.

2.- TEA SPARROW

Tea Sparrow

Tea Sparrow is a Canadian company launched in 2010 that was born because of an allergy to artificial flavorings. This drive to find all-natural teas and blends drove the founder to build the company. All teas are guaranteed free from artificial additives or flavorings. Every tea in their boxes has been previously approved by members, and only teas that have received a score of 8.5/10 or higher move forward to be widely offered. They take pride in delivering a variety of world-class blends to your door every month. Also, their packaging is compostable, recyclable or biodegradable.
They have 4 options in their subscriptions: Original Tea Box (which contains 4 loose leaf teas, 1 black, green, herbal and rooibos), Tea Bag Box (a variety of 18 biodegradable whole leaf tea bags, 6 each of 3 different blends), Caffeinated Tea Box (only green/white/oolong/black teas and can be a mix of blends and single estate teas), and Herbal Box (only non-caffeinated teas). And they offer some customization by adding their preferences when signing up. They also offer teas in bulk in their online store.

Who is it for? Anyone who is open to trying new things and wants to discover new blends without filling their tea cupboard with big bags of tea, only to find they don’t love them. It’s a very low-commitment way of trying new blends from around the world that would otherwise be hard to find among everything else.

Personal Note: I love that they only use natural ingredients! They always list all of their ingredients and flavorings very clearly. It makes it really easy to prefer their teas and to give to kids too. They have lots of fun flavors and I especially love their herbal blends.

Monthly Price: $20 (including free shipping)

Promo Code: ‘cachaisparrow’ will get you $5 off your 1st box.

3.- TEA PRO

Tea Pro

Adventurous and unique tea subscription focused on educating about a tea type each month. They aim to educate about tea in a very friendly and entertaining way. They carefully curate and theme every box to help you taste and deepen your knowledge about different tea types. Some of their themed boxes have been Matcha (including teaware!), Chaiwalla (with 4 different types of chai + meditation incense cones), Pu-erh Box (4 different types of pu-erh + knife), and many more! You can subscribe for monthly deliveries and also purchase older boxes.
Their founders Tatjana and Tom are very active on social media and so friendly to interact with, too. They constantly create amazing videos and blog posts, check it out!

Who is it for? I would say everyone! For beginners who know nothing or little about tea and would like to take a journey to learn more and for advanced drinkers, because their boxes are extremely entertaining and well-curated. Even if you are knowledgeable about tea, you will like to taste them side by side and will be happy to get their extras (teaware or other gifts) in every box.

Personal Note: I absolutely love their concept of educating about tea with every box. It’s not only about drinking tea and period, but getting to know tea, its culture, benefits, and history.

Monthly Price: £18 (around $22 USD + $12 for shipping. UK ships free. Includes a free infuser glass with first order!)

Promo Code:TEAPRO15TEACACHAI will get you 15% off your 1st box.

4.- TEABOX

Teabox tea subscription box

Teabox is a company specializing in Indian tea, sourcing directly from tea gardens delivering to consumers without middle men. They have beautiful packaging and brand image as well as great quality teas. You’ll get a monthly themed box with 5 different loose leaf teas with 1 oz each that are good for 60-75 cups. They have estate teas as well as blends and each tea pack has a full description including tasting notes, steeping guide and origin.

Who is it for? Tea lovers who like Indian teas and appreciate straight, unblended teas since most of their teas are not blends (although they do have lots of blends).

Personal Note: They have great quality teas and I really like their overall branding and packaging. This box contains a lot of tea, and it’s plenty for you to enjoy and share with friends. I also like their tea sample packs, especially their amazing selection of Darjeeling First Flush teas.

Monthly Price: $39.99 (including worldwide express shipping)

5.- ADAGIO

Adagio Tea subscription box

This company has a monthly subscription service with teas from their huge range. Adagio’s better tea club has 3 options to choose from, loose leaf, tea bags or iced teas pouches. Loose leaf club includes 3 samples good for making a total of 30 cups, tea bag option includes 2 samples with 8 tea bags each, and iced tea club includes 3 pouches good to make 3-quarter sized pitchers. Shipping is free for subscriptions, which is a great deal because if you’d like to buy 3 single loose leaf samples you’ll be charged for shipping.

Who is it for? It’s great for people who want to discover new teas and mostly blends but don’t want to commit buying larger quantities. I don’t think it’s the best option for ‘tea snobs’ but it’s definitely good for tea lovers and newbies.

Personal Note: I’d definitely recommend the loose leaf option because you get the most amount of cups from it and you can always make iced tea from loose leaf anyway. If you’re new to loose leaf tea, get a simple tea strainer and you’re good to go. It’s a great deal for the price and you get a decent amount of tea.

Monthly Price: $6.99 (shipping included in the US)

Tea discovery service that sources tea from tea farms all over the world. One of the lowest priced options on the market, they feature a wide range of teas and really focus on providing a higher end tea offering. The first box is always the same for anyone that receives the Classic/Sampler Box. They’ve done this as it gives the customer a very specific experience with teas that they have likely never had before.

Who is it for? Tea lovers that want to start getting into loose leaf teas.

Personal Note: I really like that you can choose your tea type for this subscription, especially for people who like herbals/low caffeine teas or only green tea, not many subscription boxes out there let you narrow down the type of teas you’d like to receive.

Dollar Tea Club Subscription

Subscription based Canadian tea company that focuses on fair trade. They purchase through direct trade and guarantee quality and consistency while ensuring fair trade practices are being carried out. Dollar Tea Club focuses on subscriptions, where you can get the basic dollar one that includes 3 small samples, or you can get more tea by getting a grand explorer subscription or even building your own box.
They have over 30 varieties (and adding) and most of them are blends. With the basic Explorer plan you’ll get 3 samples and tea filters, good to make 6-8 cups. All the information is on each package describing tea type, steeping guide and detailed list of ingredients. They have a referral program where you and your friend get $1 off if they order.

Who is it for? The Explorer $1 plan is great for people who enjoy tea but are not heavy tea drinkers or ‘tea snobs’. It makes the perfect budget gift (3 month subscription for under $15, including shipping).

Personal Note: I don’t think it’s a subscription focused on heavy, experienced tea drinkers who appreciate quality and estate teas. That said, any other tea lover or tea newbie will probably like this option because of their blends and price. You can purchase 1 cup of tea at David’s for what you’ll pay for this subscription. I love it as a gift for a friend.

Monthly Price Starts at: $1 + $3 for shipping to US and Canada

Promo Code: REFCAAQAJ7814 will get you $1 off your first order (and will get a few cups of tea for me too!)

🙋🏻‍♀️ I often get asked what's the bes 🙋🏻‍♀️ I often get asked what's the best way to sweeten tea, and I guess the right answer is whatever works for each person! ⁣
⁣
Personally, I only add a little Monkfruit when I drink lattes, but I drink unsweetened, unflavored tea most of the time.⁣
⁣
For a special treat 🎁 , I sometimes make naturally flavored simple syrup. I was #gifted this travel electric kettle with temperature control by @buydeem_global and I love that you can use it to infuse too because of the strainer on its lid. ⁣
It has 3 temperature settings and 3 timer options to hold the temp.⁣
⁣
🌹 I made a honey rose simple syrup by boiling water, then steeping the rose petals for 7-10 minutes in the kettle, and combining the steeped rose tea and honey (1 part each). I immediately used it to sweeten my Earl Grey Latte (aka 🇬🇧 London Fog!).⁣
⁣
The kettle is perfect for travel and moving it around, and the 60•C temp is perfect for making Japanese Green Tea (and I love that it holds the temperature so I can use it instead of my thermal bottle). The only downside is that it takes a bit longer to boil water, but the practicality of it is unbeatable!

If you ever do so, what’s your favorite way to sweeten your tea?

Even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, it is a great opportunity to try different teas and explore from several companies who offer them (if you not into the countdown, wait for after season sales!).⁣

🤔 If someone came to me and asked if I would like to try GREAT quality Matcha for FREE, heck yes I would! ⁣
⁣
For real, if you want to try 3 different and excellent types of Matcha from @naokimatcha for FREE (just pay $0.99 for shipping) go to the link in my bio (𝘯𝘢𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘢.𝘤𝘰𝘮/𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘦/𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘢-𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘳-𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘬) and order with the code 𝐍𝐀𝐎𝐊𝐗𝐓𝐂𝐂. ⁣
You’ll get 3 sachets of different blends: Superior Ceremonial Blend, Fragrant Yame Blend, and Chiran Harvest (my favorite! So smooth, with a buttery texture, and sweet, nutty, umami flavor)⁣
⁣
Great for drinking on their own, in the morning or for that post-lunch slump (my energy pill 💊 !) or for making a hot or iced latte. ⁣
💡Share with your friends so they can try it too!⁣
⁣
I personally love, drink and recommend @naokimatcha a lot and love collaborating with them because they have really good Matcha 💚 if it’s good, I gotta spread the word!⁣

A new tea book is out and it’s by my friend Nico A new tea book is out and it’s by my friend Nicole from @teaformeplease !! 🎊🎉⁣
⁣
I’m super happy to be one of the first to get this book (you can get yours on Amazon - release day May 17th).⁣
⁣
✔️ It’s full of super fun tea based drink recipes and some baked goods too. You can find iced, hot, lattes, cocktails & mocktails and boba too. It’s a great book for tea lovers who would like to explore more ways to enjoy it and learn how versatile tea is. ⁣
⁣
If you’re building a tea book library 📚 , this one is a must, and a great book to gift to any tea lover 💜.⁣
⁣
🔥 Congratulations again Nicole on this amazing achievement!
Over a month into Spring 🌸 and I can see my te Over a month into Spring 🌸 and I can see my tea preferences starting to change. I’ve been drinking fresher feeling and more cooling teas, such as green, lightly oxidized Oolong, etc. (Here I’m enjoying a lovely Dragonwell green tea).⁣
⁣
Now that I live in FL, so many people ask how can I drink tea with the heat, but when inside I’m always always drinking tea, same as before! Still, cooling teas can be great to regulate body temperature and even reduce the perceived heat 🥵.⁣
⁣
💝 Love serving tea to friends who come by my place for any reason. This lovely kettle + cups set is from @kitchen_kite and I LOVE it. It has a big stainless steel infuser to steep the tea and 4 delicate double-walled glass small cups to serve tea. So elegant! (It is also stovetop safe and dishwasher safe) #gifted ⁣
⁣
What have you been drinking this Spring?
👉🏻Here’s a super interesting one:⁣ Sweet 👉🏻Here’s a super interesting one:⁣
Sweet potato plant leaves tea 😮 . It’s a herbal tea made from sweet potato plants in the Laoshan district in China, and processed similarly to black tea.⁣
It’s the first time I tried it and I was blown away by it. I love trying rare teas and herbal infusions and this was a special one! ⁣
⁣
🔎It is roasted 5, yes FIVE times to stop oxidation, so it’s a very time consuming tea to produce. Farmers in the area are shifting from harvesting crops to making tea because it’s more profitable as demand for this type of tea is increasing 🥔.⁣
⁣
☕️ I brewed it at 200•F and it had a strong sweet potato and savory aroma. I would have expected more sweetness to it but I was surprised with its brightness and how soupy/brothy it tastes. I also found some cooked spinach notes. Overall a fantastic experience ⭐️. ⁣
⁣
I got this tea from @verdanttea (#gifted) which I sincerely can’t recommend enough.⁣
💚They are a truly transparent company, which I know many people appreciate tremendously, and pick their partners (farming families) carefully according to their values (sustainability, quality & craftsmanship, etc). They honor them by highlighting their teas and stories and focus on them and their teas rather than their own brand.⁣ They carry AMAZING tea & teaware!
⁣
Have you ever tried this tea❓
Happy last Matcha Monday 🍵 of the year! Wishing Happy last Matcha Monday 🍵 of the year! Wishing you all a wonderful 2022 filled with joy and health 🙌🏼.⁣
⁣
Matcha is one of my favorite things to help boost my energy⚡️. Besides loving its flavor, color and preparation process and ceremony, the calm alertness and energy that it provides is so appreciated! ⁣
⁣
I love a Matcha latte in the morning and a traditional Matcha cup/bowl after lunch to get over that slump😊.⁣
⁣
Do you take Matcha to boost your energy or just because you like it? 💚
👋Happy Monday!⁣ I wanted to share about one o 👋Happy Monday!⁣
I wanted to share about one of the most luxurious tea gifts I’ve ever received. If you’re looking to really 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 someone and want to splurge, then I absolutely recommend this @samovartea gift box (You, Me and a Cup of Tea).⁣
 ⁣
It comes with a 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 well curated variety of 5 loose leaf teas, including a herbal blend that works amazing as a cold brew and a chocolate Pu-erh that makes a killer latte!⁣
⁣
It also comes with one of my favorite tea brewing accessories, the brewing teapot, a tea scoop and a lovely tea guide with brewing directions.⁣
⁣
Pictured is one of my favorite teas of the box, California Persian: a black tea blend with cardamom, rose blossoms, jasmine and orange zest. It is a beautiful, elegant and well balanced blend that works perfectly well for an afternoon tea setting. It has strong rose 🌹 and some citric notes (I like brewing it at 195 F for 3 minutes).⁣
⁣
Again, I was wowed by the luxurious tea experience of this box #gifted. Everything is so well put together and the packaging is designed with an amazing eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.⁣
⁣
Would you like this as a gift? (Hint: I promise you would! 😜)
🤔 How many of you doubt about buying certain te 🤔 How many of you doubt about buying certain teas online because you’re not sure you’ll like them?⁣
Or how about that guilty feeling of ‘I REALLY (this time really!) shouldn’t buy anymore tea? (Would getting sample sizes make you feel better? 😜)⁣
⁣
💡 I put together a list of companies that offer very reasonably priced (and some even FREE 💸 ) tea samples for you to try before you commit to buying larger quantities (𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐊 𝐈𝐍 𝐁𝐈𝐎).⁣
⁣
This is also great for people who want to get deeper into tea and want to try many different types without having to invest too much.⁣
⁣
✨ I wish I had a resource like this one back in the day when I was starting with my tea romance. Now you have it, enjoy!
Does this Monday feel super slow or is it me? 🙌 Does this Monday feel super slow or is it me?
🙌🏼 I’m recharging my energy this morning with a delicious latte from @favatea ‘s holiday sampler (#gifted). This tea is called Frosty’s Brew and it is a black te with white chocolate and orange… very indulgent! I feel the holiday season calls for exploring blends that I wouldn’t try often and of course, making them into lattes!
This sampler box had several teas that make great lattes, even some Rooibos ones that my kids enjoyed! (After my 6-yo son tried a tea latte he would’t go back to regular tea! 😂)
💡 Remember: for lattes use at least double the amount of tea that you would usually use to make a regular cup. We’re looking to make a concentrate. Always add more leaves, not more time!
✨Matcha tasting time 🍵 This was a fun one! @ ✨Matcha tasting time 🍵 This was a fun one!

@naokimatcha launched a very limited tasting set of 3 Matcha where only 1 will be added to their line. The blends are named after their region of origin: Uji, Wazuka and Nishio.

It was really hard to pick a favorite because all 3 were delicious, fresh and good quality Matcha (#gifted). But overall my favorite was Uji Harmony: It was delightfully sweet, smooth but thick and creamy with little grassiness and a perfect umami balance. Its color is a bright, vibrant green that only reflect freshness and quality.
The two other blends were excellent as well, I found the Wazuka blend great for beginners because it was less umami, smooth and ‘cleaner’.

Have you tried any of these? (Get their Matcha tasting set with 20% off on their website)
I’ve been obsessed 🤩 about Nepalese Black tea I’ve been obsessed 🤩 about Nepalese Black teas lately, and when this came in the mail I was soooo happy!⠀
⠀
I got a new #teasubscriptionbox to try (#gifted 🎁) and I was very excited about their concept. @atlasteaclub does monthly boxes focused on a single origin and aims to take the customer through a journey around the world 🌍. In my box came a Black tea, Kumari Gold (pictured) and a White tea. You can choose 1 or 2 teas with your subscription plan and each tea pouch contains fresh and good quality leaves 🌱 and a brewing guide. There’s also a beautiful postcard that comes in the box with information about the current month’s origin.⠀
⠀
On to the tea ☕️ ➡️ This Kumari Gold was sweet and smooth with strong cooked fruit notes and some slight woodiness. It is delicate and elegant, like manny Nepalese Black teas.⠀
⠀
If you haven’t tried Nepalese teas, I would recommend you to try its Black tea. (Try 190-195 F for 3.30 min)
